Autumn has arrived with a vengeance and all we can do it embrace her..!! We woke up today to a dark, wet and windy morning - the girls made the short walk across the brooke and through the woods to school in their Mimi Mouse rain boots and rain jackets.

Review - L'oreal Volume Million Lashes Luminizer Mascara

I'm a product junkie and that is no secret in our home, I can n.e.v.e.r-e.v.e.r go past a drug store, beauty supply or supermarket and not come away empty handed - so yesterdays product I brought home was the L'oreal Volume Million Lashes Luminizer Mascara.

My magpie tendencies drew me to the shiny packaging of the product and being a brown eye girl and having Hazel as my first name I picked the Hazel Eyes Shade...This shade is called Black Amethyst and it has the slightest, most pretty, subtle plum tinge to the black mascara. The formulation of the mascara is supposed to enhance and compliment your natural eye colour. I have used the regular Volume Million Lashes previusly and loved it as it did truely give my lashes the voluminising effect it promised and the new Luminizer is equally as brilliant. The wand design really helps to coat each lash, lifts and separates them really well and I never get the clumpy look at all even after a couple of coats. I shall be going to buy a fair few more of these for myself and as stocking fillers this year!

Ballet Banter

With the start of school, the frenetic driving has already started for me...racing between school drop off/pick-up, getting to and from work, swimming lessons, gymnastics and ballet classes. Not only are a couple of week day evenings taken up by ballet class but so is my entire Saturday, I am a hardcore ballet Mom!! My Saturday morning involves pinning tightly twisted buns to a particular spot on the backs of my girls head, rushing out to the store to grab a magazine and a coffee and off to ballet for the next three hours!! I love it, boring as it may sound, I love it..not only because my girls dance and dance well but because what make them happy warms my heart!!

Anyway so today in class I happened to look up from my magazine and saw one of my girls being fitted for Points shoes, she looked so happy and was so proud of herself - but I am not sure, I keep asking myself if 6 is not too early??? On a different note this time of year is exciting in Ballet School as the classes are all rehearsing for the annual show and this year they doing Peter Pan!!

  

Bleeding Heart

I am so glad it is Friday, this week for me has been such a low week, I have been in tears many days and so have a fair  few people around me and also something strange has been going on in my garden, we moved house last summer and I lifted my bleeding heart tuber out of the ground to re-plant, which I did and nothing happened, spring came and went and there was no sign of my plant only to start shooting half way through the summer and today I was admiring the blooms and the blooms pretty much sum up how I am feeling - my heart bleeds, bleeds for a dear work mate who has had a traumatic time in the last couple of weeks and had been off work.
